PLYMOUTH , MN , August 7, 2007 – Nilfisk-Advance, one of the  world's leading  suppliers of professional floor cleaning equipment, announced today the completion of its acquisition of the Viper Group (“Viper”). Based in China and the U.S., Viper manufactures and distributes quality, low-cost floor maintenance equipment. The acquisition was previously announced on May 8, 2007 pending approval by Chinese authorities, which is now complete.

“We are pleased to welcome Viper into the Nilfisk-Advance family,” said Christian Cornelius-Knudsen, Nilfisk-Advance’s North American President and CEO. “The acquisition presents tremendous growth opportunities for both Nilfisk-Advance and Viper. We will use our existing global network to market Viper’s strong brand of basic maintenance products and command leadership in that market. We will also increase Nilfisk-Advance’s access to the Chinese market where Viper holds a significant position.”

With the acquisition now complete, Viper will operate under its present management as a self-standing entity within the Nilfisk-Advance family, continuing its manufacturing and sales operations in China under the leadership of Simon Chen, and maintaining its North American distribution headquarters in Holland, Michigan under the leadership of Tom Vander Bie. As previous owners of the company, Viper’s principals have been in the business of developing, manufacturing, and distributing basic floor maintenance equipment for decades.

Viper will continue to manufacture and distribute its products under the current Viper brand. The company offers a broad range of vacuums, single discs, floor machines, carpet extractors and air blowers. Viper’s expected sales revenue for 2007 is approximately $25 million. It employs approximately 690, mostly in China.

Nilfisk-Advance is a global company with North American operations headquartered in Plymouth, MN. It manufactures and distributes professional floor cleaning equipment under the brand names Advance, American Lincoln, Clarke, Kent, Euroclean, American Sanders, CFM, U.S. Products, and Nilfisk.
